Five Card Stud

With five card stud as many as ten players can play at once. This game requires less strategy as four of the five cards are dealt face up. There is four rounds of betting between the dealing of the five cards, with the best hand winning.

How to play Five Card Stud

Before any cards are dealt the ‘ante’ is posted, this is a small compulsory bet to build the ‘pot’.

Each player is dealt two cards, one face down and one face up. This is followed by a betting round.

Then each player is dealt a third card face up, followed by a betting round.

Then a fourth card face up, with another betting round.

Then the fifth and final card face up, followed by the final betting round.

After all bets are placed the players reveal their face down card with the best hand winning the ‘pot’.
